This 4th, Let us not forget

"Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood."

--John Adams, A Dissertation on the Canon and Feudal Law, 1765

Let us not forget those who sacrificed so much for our freedom, and those who sacrifice much for us today to keep us free and safe from tyranny from all parts of the globe this 4th of July.

The Day of our Independence seems to have become just another paid day off, for beer drinking and parties instead of celebrating the creation of the richest most powerful Nation under God the earth has ever seen.

Remember the men and women who have shed their blood and died for our very lives. We have our basic freedoms because of those souls who stood at the gate and on the wall day and night while we sleep in peace. They made it so.

Thank the troops when you see them, for it is by their blood that you are free.
